Sophie is now a Senior at Frank McCourt High School. Throughout her 4 years at the school she has improved and changed in many different ways. Her writing skills have improved gradually through the years, and you can see it in her works in classes like 9th Grade Writing and Dystopia in 10th grade, and Race Studies and Author Study in her senior year. For the first time in many years, she felt that her math skills had somewhat improved when she took Precalculus in the 12th grade. The class shares a lot of content with Algebra 1 and 2, and she was able to grasp many concepts that she struggled with before. In her senior year, Sophie took some of her favorite classes at FMHS. Anatomy, Race Studies, and Author Study, were all throughly enjoyed. Next year, Sophie will be attending SUNY Purchase for Environmental Studies. She is excited to pursue her higher education, but will always miss her days at FMHS.
